April Fools!

Tomorrow is April Fools Day, and I found a good link to the top 100 april fool’s hoaxes of all time, posted on the “Musem of Hoaxes” website.  And this got me to thinking of the April Fool’s jokes I’ve been subjected to, and inflicted upon other people throughout my life.  My personal favorite, though was [...]

Scientific Doomsday

The large hadron collider (LHC) being built in France is due to be on-line soon.  So, of course, that means folks needing something to do went through their create-a-suit kit and came up with something to sue the scientists over.  A former nuclear safety officer (whatever the hell that is) named Walt Wagner and his [...]

Grim Milestones

Why do the media, and most people, concentrate on the number of dead American Soldiers in Iraq?  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not advocating war and killing folk to solve your problems, but it seems to me that focusing on the negative never accomplishes much.

Rollercoaster That Makes Even The Season Veteran Pray!

I consider myself to be a rollercoaster enthusiast and want to try almost any rollercoaster. And yet when I saw the images of this coaster, I had to pause a second before I committed. Click more and you will see what I mean.

Chihuahua Ga Ga

Anymore the animal hording stories about houses with a few hundred dogs, cats, what have you, doesn’t even catch my attention.  Once in a while, though, I come across one that boggles the mind.   This time the story is about a triple-wide mobile home in Avra Valley, Arizona owned by an eldery couple with over eight [...]

Missed Inspections Results In Fines For Southwest Airlines

The FAA imposed a 10.2 million penalty yesterday on Southwest Airlines for missed inspections for cracks in the fuselage of its aging fleet. It was reported that three Southwest employees were placed on leave with pay. And the report indicated that at least one FAA official looked the other way.
